Las Vegas is one of the top shopping destinations in the world. From luxury shopping at the Crystals to casual shopping at the Fashion Show Mall, you can find pretty much anything in Vegas, whether its found on or off the strip. This post is all about the city’s best malls, including the Forum Shops, the Grand Canal Shoppes, the Miracle Mile Shops, and many more.
Located near Treasure Island, the Palazzo, and across from the Wynn, the strip’s main mall is the Fashion Show Mall. This nearly 200,000 square metre large mall is home to over 250 shops, from Nordstrom to Lululemon. Hence its name, the Fashion Show Mall hosts fashion shows on the mall’s runway every weekend. While we were there, which was actually on Black Friday, they had a holiday themed show as shown above.
Along with the hotel, the Venetian’s mall, the Grand Canal Shoppes, are made to look like Venice, Italy. Covering over 50,000 square metres, the luxury mall has over 150 shops throughout it. These shops are famous for their fake Grand Canal, on which gondola rides through the mall and to the outdoors are available. You can even find a fake St. Mark’s Square within the mall, which is one of the most visited malls in the country.
The Forum Shops at Caesars, one of the most famous malls in Vegas, is supposedly the highest grossing mall in the United States. With over 150 stores, from Nike To Versace, the almost 60,000 square metre large mall is connected to Caesars Palace hotel and casino. There’s even a free show that can be found within the mall, called the Fall of Atlantis. The Fall of Atlantis, which plays everyday on the hour, is a robotic show set within the Kingdom of Atlantis, that portrays a sibling fight with heat and sound waves for effect. It may be slightly cheesy, but it is pretty interesting to watch. Near the show you’ll find a 200 cubic metre large aquarium, with over 300 saltwater fish.
One of the most lavish shopping malls in Las Vegas, the Shops at Crystals are located within CityCenter, near the Aria and the Cosmopolitan. Designed by Daniel Libeskind, the same architect who designed the ROM (read my post about it here) in Toronto, the Crystals are nearly 50,000 square metres large. Focusing on quality over quantity, this mall is filled with many upscale shops, like Bulgari, Cartier, Fendi, Prada, and Tiffany & Co. Throughout the shopping centre you’ll also find many pretty seasonal displays, like the huge Christmas tree shown above.
The Shoppes at the Palazzo
The Shoppes at the Palazzo, located next to the Grand Canal Shoppes, are home to many luxurious shops. These stores include Baumann Rare Books, an interesting rare book store, as well as some more well known brands, like Coach and Armani. Many beautiful holiday and seasonal displays can also be found here, like the pretty waterfall and “Love” sign pictured above.
Connected to Planet Hollywood, the Miracle Mile Shops are an almost two kilometre long shopping mall. With over 100 stores and 15 restaurants, this mall is one of the most visited in Vegas. The mall originally opened as Desert Passage Mall, with a Moroccan theme, along with the Aladdin hotel, but was recently renamed and renovated to a Los Angeles theme to go along with the opening of Planet Hollywood.
Last but not least are the Via Bellagio Shops, located at the north end of the Bellagio. Featuring many high-end shops, including Chanel, Gucci, Dior, and Fendi, this shopping row is one of the most luxurious on the strip. The Via Bellagio shops are located through a stunning walkway, with high glass ceilings and carpet and tile flooring.
That’s it for my post all about the best shopping in Vegas. If you’re reading this the day it’s being posted, then merry Chirstmas! In last week’s post, I mentioned that I would have an exciting announcement in this post… for this winter break, my family and I are going to Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic! The day this is being posted I’ll be in Munich. I’m super excited to go on this trip (I’ve prewritten before the trip to go up while I’m on vacation), and I’m especially excited to have a ton of new content to write about on my blog.
Thank you for reading!
